Who I Work With · Banking & Financial Services

Your business runs on trust. So does mine.

Banking is won or lost in conversations. A customer deciding whether to believe the person across the desk. A teller having a hard talk with an upset client. A leader deciding whether the values on the wall apply when a number is on the line. I help your people get those moments right.

Ryan Graves speaking

Why a nurse, for a bank?

Fair question. I’d ask it too.

I’m a nurse of twenty years, and I run patient experience for a Level II trauma center, one of the hardest places on earth to earn trust, because people meet us on the worst day of their lives. During my tenure we’ve moved our facility’s overall rating (NPS) from 63.8 to 82.0, above the national benchmark, by treating trust as a skill you train instead of a feeling you hope for.

Your industry runs on the same thing. High stakes, heavy regulation, and customers who decide in a few minutes whether they believe you. The tools that move a hospital floor are the tools that move a branch, a lending team, and a leadership meeting. And I’ve been teaching the character side of this, integrity, service, and ownership, for more than twenty years.

Trust as a trainable skill

How your people earn belief in the first minutes of a conversation, and how they keep it when something goes wrong.

Hard conversations, done well

Declined loans, fee disputes, upset customers. The same skills that hold up with a frightened patient hold up with a frustrated client.

Values made operational

Your values, taught to your leaders until they’re how the branch actually runs on a normal Tuesday.

Both rooms, one message

Executives hear the numbers. The frontline hears one of their own. Same content, no retranslation between floors.

Feeling heard is so close to feeling loved. Most people don’t know the difference.
